Picture-perfect Christmas stay near the church
A wonderful stay in a picture-perfect location — just fantastic to start the Christmas holidays, and beautifully decorated too. Very comfy beds and furnished with everything you need. Conveniently located a stone's throw from Towcester, yet so quiet up near the church. A dream holiday break away.
Super cosy with amazing amenities — will be staying again
A super cottage — very cosy yet with amazing amenities. Beds are incredibly comfy, the bathroom is great, and the fireplace is fantastic. Lovely quiet location. David gave great dinner recommendations and was very flexible and accommodating. Will definitely be staying again.
Perfect for a wedding weekend — thoughtful, responsive hosts
I had the pleasure of staying at Church Cottage over the weekend of my wedding. The hosts were extremely welcoming — responding quickly to queries, rescuing us when we got locked out, and adding thoughtful touches including snacks and decorations. My bridesmaid and I were thrilled when we checked in. It really added to an already special weekend.
Warm, historic and welcoming — we heard the church bells from inside
It's always a privilege to stay at a historic home, and David and Sam have made the cottage so warm, welcoming and comfortable. The location is excellent — the main town is just steps away. To hear the Sunday morning church bells from inside the cottage was a joy. The perfect place to stay while visiting Towcester. We will love to return.
Above and beyond — hosts waited up for our late arrival
If we could rate more than five stars, we would. David waited until we arrived late at night to ensure we got in safely and responded to messages very quickly. The cottage had wonderful touches throughout with many suggestions of restaurants and places to visit. We would highly recommend this town and cottage to anyone looking for a place with character. We would love to come back.
Dream cottage — stunning beams, cosy fire, perfect location
Truly the dream cottage we had been searching for — gorgeous exposed beams and a cosy open fire that made it extra special. The kitchen is beautifully stocked, the bedrooms spacious and wonderfully decorated. We were able to walk everywhere: the grocery store, butcher, restaurants, local pubs, and the incredible museum just across the street. David and Sam were incredibly kind, friendly, and extremely accommodating. We only wish we could have stayed longer.
